Rainbow Rising Northwood offers educational learning opportunities through both inside and outside play and recognizes that learning occurs during playful experiences. At Northwood we help our children build on their cognitive competence and problem solving skills, positive communication skills, and highlight the importance of working well with others.

Our goal is to provide a wide variety of experiences, such as daily developmentally appropriate activities, physical education, academic homework programs, and recreational play in order to promote social, physical, and emotional growth and development. Our teachers work closely with parents and school administration to ensure a positive learning experience through positive reinforcement, patience and understanding. Rainbow also offers all day care during winter, spring, and summer breaks

Meet The Director in training

MBMy name is Mary Bushman and I am the Director at Northwood Rainbow Rising.  I am currently in school to earn my Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been a part of the Rainbow family since June 2008. During my tenure at Rainbow Rising, I have worked at College Park, Greentree, and Cypress Village. Each site possessed it’s own set of challenges and opportunities. Now at Northwood, I plan to draw from my past experiences in order to bring a well rounded perspective to this wonderful program. It is my goal at Rainbow to provide a safe, fun loving and exciting program for the children to learn and grow. Working with children has always been a passion of mine, and watching them grow into little adults is such a rewarding experience.

Meet The Assistant Director in training

hailwebHello! My name is Hailee Ronningen and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be here at Greentree! I am currently studying at California State University Fullerton, with a major in Human Services and a minor in Child and Adolescent Development. I began working at Rainbow Rising Meadow Park in 2015 as a teacher and then moved to Rainbow Rising Beacon Park to be the Young Riser Master Teacher. The environment that Rainbow Rising creates for the children is remarkable, challenging them and making positive impacts every day. I am very lucky to have fallen into a position with such an incredible director and welcoming parents.  I’m beyond ecstatic to begin working with the amazing children here and cannot wait to see what this year has in store!
