Rainbow Rising Northwood offers educational learning opportunities through both inside and outside play and recognizes that learning occurs during playful experiences. At Northwood we help our children build on their cognitive competence and problem solving skills, positive communication skills, and highlight the importance of working well with others.

Our goal is to provide a wide variety of experiences, such as daily developmentally appropriate activities, physical education, academic homework programs, and recreational play in order to promote social, physical, and emotional growth and development. Our teachers work closely with parents and school administration to ensure a positive learning experience through positive reinforcement, patience and understanding. Rainbow also offers all day care during winter, spring, and summer breaks

Meet The Director in training

MBMy name is Mary Bushman and I am the Director at Northwood Rainbow Rising.  I am currently in school to earn my Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have been a part of the Rainbow family since June 2008. During my tenure at Rainbow Rising, I have worked at College Park, Greentree, and Cypress Village. Each site possessed it’s own set of challenges and opportunities. Now at Northwood, I plan to draw from my past experiences in order to bring a well rounded perspective to this wonderful program. It is my goal at Rainbow to provide a safe, fun loving and exciting program for the children to learn and grow. Working with children has always been a passion of mine, and watching them grow into little adults is such a rewarding experience.

Meet The Assistant Director in training

DVMy name is Diane Hua and I am the Assistant Director in training at Northwood Rainbow Rising. I graduated from UCI with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Education. I joined Rainbow Rising in July 2014 and worked at Greentree before coming here to Northwood. I am excited to get to know the children and families here. My goal is to provide a safe and loving environment at Rainbow so that the children feel encouraged to learn, grow, and explore every day.
