School-Age Program

Hours of Operation: 7:00 AM- 6:00 PM

Rainbow Rising College Park provides before and afterschool onsite daycare at College Park Elementary School.  We also offer all day care during winter, spring and summer breaks.  During our school session, we provide a homework club program and implement a daily curriculum that consists of science, art, music, math, language arts and cooking.  During our camp sessions we offer a variety of activities as well as weekly field trips.  Rainbow Rising encourages social and academic skills.  We emphasize team building, problem solving, and communication skills.  Part-time and full-time schedules are available.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. Jennifer Willis

Center Director

I have been working in the childcare field for 18 years and have been a director with Rainbow Rising for 13 ½ years.  I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Child Development from Cal State Fullerton and an Associates of Arts degree from Fullerton College.  I have made childcare my passion and priority. I believe that working with children is the most rewarding job a person can have.  I am dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment in which children can learn and grow.

Farah Hamza

Assistant Director

I have been with Rainbow Rising for 4 years.  My educational background varies from liberal studies, graphic design, and early childhood education. I began working with children at the age of nineteen, and ten years later…I could not be happier with my career choice. My hopes are to further my learning in child development and to influence this environment as positively as possible. I feel fortunate to be a part of this community and am excited to continue on this path. Spending time with my friends and family is what keeps me smiling in life!

Cassia McGee

Teacher

I have been working at Rainbow Rising since 2006.  I am currently working on my B.A. for Middle Childhood Education at Irvine Valley College  and Ohio State University.  I am a cheerleader and I run the cheer club and the Disney club here at College Park.  I hope that in the near future I will have my own classroom encouraging lots of kids to attend Ohio State!  Go Buckeyes!

Mary Bushman

Teacher

I am twenty-one years old, and I go to school at Irvine Valley College. I am working toward becoming a teacher, and I really enjoy working with children. I have lived in California for 13 years, and I wouldn’t ever leave it, but I love going back to Indiana, where I was born and raised, to see my family.

Ryan Kidder

Teacher

I have lived in College Park all of my life, and I really like it here. I love sports, and I play baseball, football, and I wrestle. Other interests of mine include watching movies and making and listening to music. I am currently a junior at Cal State Fullerton where I am studying advertising and majoring in communications.

Ania Szaranski

Teacher

I currently work as an instructional assistant at Venado Middle School, and I have also worked at College Park Elementary for three years. I have eight years of experience working with special needs children and have also been site supervisor for the After School Eagles Program at Newport Mesa USD. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal Poly Pomona. I truly enjoy working with children, making jewelry, traveling, and horseback riding, and I’m so happy to be a part of the Rainbow staff.
