Rainbow Rising Meadow Park is an on-school site child care that provides a quality, safe, fun and educational program for school-age children. By utilizing positive communication, interaction and disciplining with patience and understanding, we intend to foster responsible and friendly citizens of the future.

Welcome Parents!

My name is Chris Porto and I am the Director here at Rainbow Rising Meadow Park. I have been working for Rainbow since June of 2002 and have been the Director here at Meadow Park since August of 2006. Currently I am studying to achieve my degree in Child and Adolescent Development from CSUF and hope to go on and achieve my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy.

My philosophy in working with children is that our program provides a safe, comforting environment for children to learn the necessary skills to better themselves for their future. We at Rainbow Rising work closely with the school and teachers as well as the families in our program to meet the needs and goals of each child in social and emotional development. We provide homework assistance after school, as well as a variety of activities and group clubs for the children to participate in.

Jessica Simoncini

I have been working for Rainbow Rising for over four years. I have a passion for child development and a degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. Outside of work, I love to spend time with my friends, family, and my two dogs Winnie Cooper and Penny Lane.

Mayra Retiz

Teacher

I have been a Teacher at Rainbow Rising Meadow Park since September 2007. I am also the mother of a 2 year old son and have been married for six years. I enjoy doing physical activities with the kids, because I believe that now a day’s, kids don’t get enough exercise throughout the day. Another thing that I also enjoy doing is spending time with our kindergarteners; I like to help them out with their homework and plan new curriculum for them.

Adriana Alvarez

Teacher

I am the youngest of the Rainbow family aside from the children, of course. I do not have as much experience with children as the majority of the teachers at Rainbow; but I am the oldest of four and being a leader and setting a good example is somewhat of an obligation. In high school, I was part of the Teacher Education Academy, which gave me an opportunity to interact and tutor elementary children. Now, I am full time student at Orange Coast College and plan to transfer to a 4-year university sometime soon. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with family and friends. I love watching and playing sports; baseball being my favorite. So far my experience at Rainbow has been nothing short of amazing, I learn something new from the children every day, and I love getting to know each and every one of them!

Kyle Kidder

Teacher

Hi, my name is Kyle and I have been working at Rainbow Rising since September 2010. My brother Ryan also works for Rainbow Rising at College Park and has been a big inspiration for me to work with children. Currently I am attending Irvine Valley College and plan to transfer to a four year university next fall. I really enjoy spending time to play games and participate in outside activities with the children. I recently implemented a “Chess Club” program at our center and the kids love it. Working at Rainbow has been such a great experience; while here, I strive to be the best possible leader and role model for each and every child.

Trevor Cullen

I have been working for Rainbow Rising since 2001.  I graduated from Cal State Fullerton, and I am currently enrolled in a teacher credential program.  I enjoy organizing outside activities fro the children at Rainbow, and like playing soccer in my spare time.
