Rainbow Rising Bonita Canyon is a before and after school on-site child care program at Bonita Canyon Elementary School. We offer an enriching, developmentally-appropriate program with daily curriculum that consists of science, math, art, language arts, cooking and much more. We also provide homework assistance and weekly clubs for kids to participate in.

At Rainbow Rising Bonita Canyon, we believe in the power of choice. We encourage children to make good choices and become responsible citizens of the future by using positive behavioral interventions.

Hello Rainbow Families my name is Gissell Guerrero and I am excited and honored to be your new Director. I began my Rainbow journey as a Teacher’s Aide in 2015 at Westpark Elementary. After a couple of month’s, I soon became a teacher. In 2018, I got the opportunity to transfer to Bonita Canyon as a Master Teacher. It brings me so much joy to experience this new journey here at Bonita Canyon. I have an Associates in Liberal Arts and I’m currently working on obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Development. I really enjoy working with children and teaching them new things. I am thrilled to take on the Director role and provide a safe, fun and positive environment for the children. When I’m not at Rainbow, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

My name is Melissa Garcia and I am so excited to be working at Bonita Canyon as the Assistant Director. I have been working at Rainbow Rising since 2021 and started at Rainbow Rising Westpark. I am currently in school working towards a degree in Anthropology. I hope to eventually work as a counselor or therapist for children. I enjoy working with children because they surprise us with their different and interesting personalities and views of the world. I hope to help children grow into the best versions of themselves. I am beyond excited for this new opportunity and to get to meet all of you!
