Rainbow Rising

Hi Rainbow Rising! My name is Heather Cox, and I would like to formally introduce myself as Culverdale’s Director. I began my journey with Rainbow Rising in August 2016 as a Master Teacher. In early 2017, I became the Assistant Director at Meadow Park, and nine months later, I stepped into the role of Site Director, where I remained for six years. I am thrilled to continue my journey at Rainbow with our families here at Culverdale. This role is especially meaningful to me, as I attended Culverdale as a child; it truly feels like coming home. In 2012, I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development. I have nearly 20 years of experience working with children, and my passion has always been supporting their growth and creating meaningful experiences for every family. My mission is to make a positive impact on every child I encounter, knowing they will make an impact on me as well. On a personal note, my husband and I welcomed our first child, a daughter named Averey, in September 2024. We also have two Pomskies, Kylo and Loki, who complete our family. In my free time, I enjoy making chocolate treats, practicing calligraphy, visiting Disneyland, and playing sports, especially flag football. I also enjoy playing Fantasy Football. As you can probably tell, my favorite sport is football. Go Chargers!
