Families Forward 2017
Each year, Families Forward holds a Thanksgiving-themed grocery distribution for local families in need. The weekend before Thanksgiving, these families are able to receive all of the traditional Thanksgiving fixings to cook a warm, delicious holiday meal.
While parents pick up their baskets, their children participate in fun-filled activities such as face painting and arts & crafts. With community support, Families Forward is able to provide nearly 900 families with a special holiday meal to share with their loved ones.
IVC Resource Fair 2017
Sponsored by Families Forward, the 9th Annual Community Resource Fair was an easy way for families and individuals to connect with local service agencies that provide assistance with free health screenings, career, legal, medical, financial and housing consultations. We spent the day making balloon animals, painting faces, and having the children create works of art at our booth. This event had over 70 local organizations providing free services and resources!
Paws Fur Pink 2017
On February 26th, 2017, Paws FUR Pink celebrated the unconditional love that we share with our two and four-legged family members, as well as the positive health effects that love brings to our lives. The National Canine Cancer Foundation funds were used for many causes such as: education, outreach and research to save lives through prevention, finding cures, better treatments, more accurate cost effective diagnostic methods in dealing with cancer and diminishing dogs suffering from cancer. We are thrilled to share that Team Rainbow Pups had a total of 21 members, that gathered for a nice morning Dawdling Doodle 1 Mile Walk! This year the Paws FUR Pink Orange County participates exceeded their goal of $10,000 by raising $12,311! It was such an honor to be part of such a loving and amazing event!
